Focus Philadelphia 2011 submissions open for ASMP Philadelphia members

Last year’s Focus Philadelphia drew a huge response, with over 100 submissions. Be one of them. This year we’ll be continuing the theme of “Shoot Your Ideal Assignment.”

Make Focus Philadelphia a creative study and produce a body of work that you wish was in your portfolio. Discover how it influences the rest of your imagery. And know that one of the best ways to attract client interest is to show creative work you have done for yourself. It will inspire them and you, and help you get the kind of jobs you want.

So do what you love, be creative and have fun producing work for your portfolio. Help us show community creatives that ASMP Philadelphia is the best place to look for photographers. Shoot anything, shoot anywhere, shoot what you love.

Submit up to 10 JPEG images by October 11th. Prizes and awards will be given out to those with the highest ratings. Finished photo prints that are selected for the show will need to be submitted for framing by the middle of November. Opening reception will be held in January at The University of the Arts.

This year’s judges are:

  • Louisa Curtis, Creative & Marketing Consultant, Chatterbox Enterprises
  • Sarah Stolfa, Executive Director, Philadelphia Photo Arts Center
  • Rachel Zimmerman, Founder, Inliquid
  • Jim Stone, Professor, University of New mexico
  • Mary Rhodomoyer, Professor, Tyler School of Arts & Arcadia University

Prizes include Adobe CS5, a consultation with Louisa Curtis and inkjet prints from Philadelphia Photographics and more to come…
